After the Sale

I had a morning meeting on Friday, so the LexieWear Warehouse Sale had already been going on for a couple of hours when I got there.

I should have known better.

Long time LexieWear customers have figured out that it's worth their while to arrive early at the semi-annual end-of-season sales. They were lined up before the doors even opened and once inside, the merchandise practically flew off the racks.

Company co-founder Faith Moser was amazed. "Almost everything was gone within three hours," she posted on our Facebook Fan Page.

This sale may be over, but you won't have to wait long for LexieWear's new fashions. The team is working hard on the 2009-2010 Fall/Winter line... watch this spot for a preview shortly.

Tomorrow's the Big Day

Who was the genius who decided to start the school year in some districts in August?

We've still got at least a month of 90-degree weather at LexieWear headquarters in the San Fernando Valley, which means it's going to be a long time before our kids can enjoy all those long-sleeved sweaters and cardigans the malls are displaying for back-to-school.

This is why so many people are looking forward to tomorrow's bi-annual LexieWear Warehouse Sale. The company needs to clear out the Spring and Summer fashions to make room for the new Fall line - and you get fashionable, comfortable, happy LexieWear and LexieGirl clothes at a fraction of the retail price.

I had breakfast this morning with Faith and Kim, who took a break from creating the 2009 Fall line to talk about their new fashion blog.

I just had to ask: Was there a story behind the company's motto?

Kim laughed. "We're all about peace and love," she said.

But Faith had the inside scoop. "It makes us feel good. It's feel good clothing, it's a statement. Happy clothing for happy people."
